Wisconsin Research Non-profit Selected by UK Government to Assess Max Planck Research

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — March 14, 2026 — Jeffrey Camlin, founder of Red Dawn Academic Press and AI Lab, has been appointed Expert Assessor in Partial Differential Equations by the UK Government Metascience Unit and the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex.

The appointment is part of the Metascience Novelty Indicators Challenge, a £10 million research programme funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The initiative constructs a large-scale corpus of open access scholarly publications and matches domain experts to assess research novelty at unprecedented scale. Findings will inform UK national research evaluation policy.

Camlin’s publication “Global Regularity for Navier–Stokes on T³ via Bounded Vorticity–Response Functionals” was indexed in the corpus and identified as leading work in the field, qualifying him for expert assessment of publications in partial differential equations and fluid dynamics.

His assessments include 2025 publications in Annals of PDE from the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (Leipzig) and Universidad de Sevilla (Spain).
